Eeeehhhhfffffffuccckkkkk. I wrote this whole thing and forgot I wasn't in a typing program. I hit refresh instead of save and lost the whole thing. ;_; Now I have to recreate it from memory.  Booooooo. I'm so pissed. Anyways, this is something I've been thinking about for awhile, and it was inspired by George R.R. Martins "A game of thrones." Which is a fabulous read, btw. Like The Wheel of time series but actually interesting and condensed into one book.

Senior Year.

    The culmination of my childhood, and the doorway through which I will become an adult. I stand on a mountaintop. Behind me lies what was; a murky trail marked by the occasional gust of clear memory. Before me lies the future, a world and word I have yet to fully comprehend. Summer has ended, recharged me for what may be yet another session of poor marks and empty frosting cans.

    But why should this be the standard against which I am measured? Tests and essays, these can only skim the surface of a persons qualities. There are no exams to test the strength of a heart, a will, a soul. Yet society demands it, that I submit myself to its convoluted pleasures and happily accept whatever pittances it chooses to hand out. I am expected to grovel to a world that sees me only as a number in a ledger, represented by a handful of letters and more numbers, useless scraps that will ultimately make or break my fate.

    And I will do it.

    I will face the sun proudly, with eyes wide open, a dark grin present on my face. I will leap through the doorway and tumble down the mountainside to my future, uncertainties tearing at my skin, roaring exultantly all the while. I have hopes. I have dreams. I will fall, certainly, I will fall. But I will get back up, wipe the blood from my mouth, and keep on grinning. Because this is my future. This is my life. And I will live it.

My dream last night was win! mixing two of my favorite things: zombies and ShizNat. Don't frown, people. Zombies, and the movies/books that represent them, are awesome. Anyways, this dream came complete with a believable plot, so I'm going to try my hand at some fanfiction. Should be a good ride.
